In 2007, Boker® brought us a really fine Bowie for our catalog. The only problem was that the handle was too small for my medium sized hand. A small redesign, a new sample and a few months later we have a knife that not only pleases the folks at Boker and A. G. Russell, it will please you as well. A very fine knife.
This is a big knife, based on full sized knives carried in the 1850s-1860s when revolvers were just beginning to be strong in the marketplace and a large knife was often the primary weapon for defense, and offense. Just the right size for the Cowboy Action Shooter, it is also a fine camp knife with quality blade steel hardened appropriately for the expected use. The 9-3/8" blade is T6MOV at 56-58 Rc. with an excellent satin finish. The construction is full tang with a brass double guard and handle scales of Red Deer antler from Argentina. Measures 14-3/4" tip to butt and weighs a very light 1 lb 1.8 oz. Includes a fine brown leather sheath with a snapped strap. Made in Argentina.
