In Japan, symbols are a large part of the culture. This latest selection from Mcusta's series of Limited Edition knives based in Japanese symbology features the Kaeru (frog) and lily pads. In Japanese, the word Kaeru (frog) also means, "to return". The frog is seen as a symbol of good fortune. To ensure a safe return from their journey, travelers often carry something with the image of a frog. This latest in the limited edition cocobolo handled folders, features a frog along with a lily pad cut through beautiful Cocobolo handle scales. The cutouts are inlaid with a detailed frog and lily pads cut from thin sheets of stainless accented with inset turquoise. The 3-1/4" drop point blade is 32 layer Stainless Damascus with a VG-10 core at 58-60 Rc. Measures 4-1/4" closed and weighs 3.8 oz. Each knife will be serial numbered (sorry, no choice of serial number) and stamped with the red Mcusta insignia (Rakuin). Includes a beautiful A. G. Russell™ Exclusive leather presentation case. Made in Japan.
