In the 1950s, Bo Randall designed the Model 14 Attack primarily for combat and survival purposes. It has been one of their most popular models and is most popular with the standard fingergrooved handle with a brass double guard. O-1 high carbon tool steel is the original blade steel and with a Rockwell hardness of 53-55 Rc., it is the easiest to sharpen. The stainless blade (440B) at 57-59 Rc. is becoming increasingly popular due to better corrosion resistance and edge holding. For those of you not familiar with Randall's markings, the stainless blade is clearly marked on the obverse side (front) with a large S to clearly distinguish it from the O-1 version.
The wait for a Randall knife if you order directly from the Randall shop exceeds five years. We have done the waiting for you, having placed our monthly orders with Randall several years ago.
The model features a 7-1/2" bowie style fighting blade with black Micarta® handle and brass double guard. Measures 12" from tip of blade to butt and weighs 14 oz. Includes a model A leather sheath with pocket and stone.
