Just when you think they can’t outdo themselves, they do. In January 2009, William Henry produced a Model 12 Spearpoint they call the Dark Wave. This is the first time they have coated a Wave Pattern ZDP-189 core blade.
At the 2008 Blade Show® and International Cutlery Fair in Atlanta, this knife wowed the masses and was chosen by the industry as the American Made Knife of the Year®. This bold new pattern is elegant and compact, the thinnest and lightest knife in the William Henry line-up.
As the name implies, the frame material for this knife is remnant conductive wire from the super-collider project abandoned by the US Government in the 90's. Made from a matrix of niobium wires pulled thru a copper core, superconductor was (going to be) used to move electricity in the particle accelerator.
This special Kestrel is a lovely jewel of a pocketknife with a deep finger groove at the intersection between the handle and blade making it remarkably comfortable in the hand while being very small and convenient as an everyday carry.
The Monarch is a classic design with a handle shape that beautifully showcases the exotic materials favored by Matt Conable for William Henry knives. This exclusive version of William Henry’s B5 features a frame of a marvelous heat-blued 'Croc Skin' Damascus hand forged by Chad Nichols.
Pikatti is an Eskimo word meaning companion, an appropriate name for a small knife that was designed as a faithful tool to help with everyday tasks. Conceived as functional jewelry, the Pikatti is compact and lightweight for daily carry in the pocket or purse, but robust enough for a lifetime of daily use.
Dramatic lines, graceful curves and exquisite materials define William Henry® knives. Wooly Mammoth Ivory is an exclusive handle material for A. G. Russell™ on William Henry knives and we have selected the beautiful creamy interior ivory for our first offering of the William Henry® Persian (B11).
This version of the GenTac is a 100 piece limited edition produced exclusively for A. G. Russell™ customers and members of the Knife Collectors Club™. The 3-1/8" blade is Devin Thomas' Dot Matrix stainless Damascus at 59-61 Rc.
First fossilized Mammoth Ivory and then Mammoth Tooth became very desirable for knife handles. Over the past few years, we have seen a few handmade knifemakers use Mammoth Bone. This material varies widely in its appearance because bone starts out very absorbent and easily picks up color from the minerals in the soil where it has laid for thousands of years. Unlike ivory, which will usually have color on the surface (bark), Mammoth Bone will have absorbed the color through the entire thickness.
This is another wonderful, limited edition from the magic fingers in the William Henry shop, this one limited to 50 pieces produced exclusively for members of the Knife Collectors Club™ and A. G. Russell™ customers.
The B5 Chardonnay is the first ever offering of a William Henry button lock built as an interframe. It was designed and built exclusively for A. G. Russell customers.
