Order Details

You have never seen a knife made with such simplicity and strength. The handle is black Zytel, molded into one solid piece. It is checkered and shaped to fit your hand with comfort when working. The knife is slim enough to carry comfortably in the pocket, but has enough bulk to fill the hand. The handle is shaped to guard your forefinger from slipping onto the blade, and to cover the sharp corner at the back of the blade to keep it from wearing through your pockets.

Not at all large, it measures just under 4" closed. The oval hole enables you to easily flip it open with one hand. The blade and handle combination are engineered to give you the very fastest and surest opening knife you can buy.

Available in VG-10 at 60-61 Rc. or 8A at 57-59 Rc. The blades are hollow ground and available in two blade patterns; a traditional Bowie style clip blade and A. G. Russell's™ own General Purpose blade, each measures 3-1/8". Black Zytel® handle. Measures 7" open and weighs 1.5 oz. Assembled in Japan. Kydex neck sheath.

A.G. Russell Knives

From the age of nine I made homemade knives until I was about twenty-four when I began to make handmade knives, crude but no longer made at home. A few years later, I had met and learned from makers like R.W. Loveless and R. L. Dozier. I made knives until the mid 1970s. I don’t make handmade knives anymore, as my hands aren’t what they used to be. However, I do have very talented makers in the United States and Japan who make knives that I am proud to put my name on. I design pocketknives, one hand knives, lockbacks, and fixed blade knives and have them made to our standards. ~A.G. Russell III

A.G. Russell has been in the knives and whetstones business for over 50 years. A.G. Russell knives are well known for their quality. A.G. Russell knives tend to be more traditional in style and look, with modern advances in material and design to create excellent knives.

I purchased one hand knives for myself and my sons. One of them broke the tip off through misuse. I sent it back to AG Russell with that explanation and asked to pay for a replacement blade. To my great surprise I received a new one hand knife at no charge with the explanation ‘A G Russell guarantees its knives unconditionally’.   Richard T. Cincinnati , OH
The FeatherLite K-93C10 is VERY impressive to me, and I have owned hundreds of knives. The heat treat on the VG-10 is very good and the factory edge is the very best I have ever seen on a production knife. I see why it is called the featherlite. It is so very, very light. It is delightfully thin and slices very well. I dare say it is better than a similar knife that people have been bugging out about over the past few years. I am now a believer in the AG Russell brand. Rating: 10/10. Freddie P. Dawsonville, GA
Just wanted to pass along a message that your Customer Service Rep. was  very, very helpful and a pleasure to work with. Also, I would like to pass along my impression of the K93 Featherlite. This is a truly wonderful knife. I have had it for a few days now and am very impressed. I believe it represents a terrific value and will surely serve me well for years to come. Finally, I would like to say that one of the reasons I purchased this knife was the fact that A.G. Russell sent 11,000 to our troops overseas. Any company that is willing to support our armed forces can have my money any day. Keep up the great work. You have a customer for life. Joseph P. Naples, FL
The A.G. Russell K93-C One Hand Knife is the perfect size for true pocket carry, sans using a pocket clip. It's slim, lightweight and incredibly user friendly and very sharp but easy to sharpen. I carry it with me everywhere I go, around the house, yard or out to the woods. Ethan E. Taloga, OK
I have bought several Featherlite One-Hand knives from you and received others as gifts. When the small knob used to "unlock" the opened blade to close the knife apparently broke off one of these, I called for a replacement. Your representative merely looked up my orders and found my address, politely assured me I'd be taken care of and 3 days later I had my part and my most-used knife in my collection was back in service - never a mention of payment. WOW! Many thanks. - Jim James T. Carlisle, PA
Dear Mr. Russell, I just want to send my thanks for such a fine pocket knife (K-93 Featherlite One Hand Folder). It is my least expensive A. G. Russell knife but it, like my other knives, exhibits great materials & craftsmanship. It is a true one-hand knife, it is extremely light in the pocket and the Japanese VG 10 steel blade is sharp and tough (I like the general purpose blade). It fits nicely in my hand and has become my every day carry blade whether I'm in jeans or shorts. I have retired my Russell Horn boot knife folder (bought in '98) to "dress" use. Thank you, sir! I bought the K-93C10 Featherlite in VG-10 steel. The size is perfect for EDC. The steel is about the sharpest I own and I have about 200 or so in my collection.  It is my first VG-10 and while the 8A  you sell is excellent, I feel that the VG-10 is well worth the price difference. Opens easy and adding a drop of breakfree CLP to the pivot (I use this on all my folders) facilitates opening and speeds up the "break in".  The closing is a bit more difficult.  I have huge hands and that lock (I never saw a lock like that before) is a bit awkward for me. It locks up tight and it is effective as a lock mechanism, but it is hard to lift up the tab when you have paws for hands.

I would make that lock release a bit larger (width). Even with smaller hands, it would provide more leverage and make closing a lot easier as well as giving hands a bit more clearance from blade edge when closing with one hand.

All in all i love this knife! I have only received it today but already it has become a favorite.

I received an A.G. Russell One-Handed Knife right after graduation from high school (1988) as a gift. I always had it with me when I could. I never had a single issue with it until I lost it. The quality of that knife was equal or superior to any I have owned since. Russell W. Cloquet, MN
I just want to say how impressed I am with my K-93 Featherlite with VG-10 steel. One of the best knives if not the best that I have ever owned!!! Rob D. Grove, Oklahoma
