Order Details

The A.G. Russell™ Integral Hunter is drop forged from one piece of Japanese 440C into a blade, guard/bolster, tang and pommel. The advantages of "Drop Forging" are widely known throughout the tool industry. The primary advantage of increased strength applies as easily to a hunting knife as it does to a Crescent® wrench; however the cost savings does not carry through into the knife world. It is easier, and therefore less expensive, to solder a guard and a butt to a blade tang than it is to build and pay for the dies and then to forge the integral blade.

The clip point blade measures 3-5/8" long and 1/8" thick. The handle scales are Black Rucarta™ and Cocobolo from our own stock of beautiful, highly figured wood accumulated over a number of years. The knife measures 7-5/8" overall and weighs 5.0 oz. Includes a brown leather sheath. Made in Taiwan.

A.G. Russell Knives

From the age of nine I made homemade knives until I was about twenty-four when I began to make handmade knives, crude but no longer made at home. A few years later, I had met and learned from makers like R.W. Loveless and R. L. Dozier. I made knives until the mid 1970s. I don’t make handmade knives anymore, as my hands aren’t what they used to be. However, I do have very talented makers in the United States and Japan who make knives that I am proud to put my name on. I design pocketknives, one hand knives, lockbacks, and fixed blade knives and have them made to our standards. ~A.G. Russell III

A.G. Russell has been in the knives and whetstones business for over 50 years. A.G. Russell knives are well known for their quality. A.G. Russell knives tend to be more traditional in style and look, with modern advances in material and design to create excellent knives.

I bought the Integral Hunter. It's WONDERFUL, nice size for edc, easy to sharpen, super strong. This is my second one. When I lost my first one, I had no question about what to do. Order another one! The only thing I would change would be to put a second snap on the sheath. Gregory R. Norwalk, CT
