Designed by Steve Tarani

Rapid deployment and control are the key factors in the Aileron, Benchmade's first collaboration with Steve Tarani. Steve Tarani is one of the nation's foremost non-ballistic weapons experts. In addition to being highly skilled in non-ballistic weapons, he also serves as a Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) certified firearms instructor. He has been a staff member at Gunsite Academy for over 20 years (the oldest shooting school in America), and teaches across the country at various agencies that include sheriffs departments, police departments and shooting ranges.

Designed for the Aviation Industry with input and review from pilots and federal flight deck officers, the 737 features innovative laser texturing on the blade along with ergonomic G-10 handles that provide positive grip. Uniquely tailored for the Tarani two-handed opening method, the Aileron is a rare folder tailored for air or ground use. The 3-3⁄8" drop point blade is CPM-S30V stainless at 58-60 Rc. Measures 4-5⁄8" closed. Weighs 4.2 oz. Made in the U.S.A. Suggested retail is $235.00.
