An A. G. Russell™ 100 Piece Limited Edition

You will recognize the Boker® Lockback as one that has been made in Germany for decades. Since the beginning, the blade in this knife has been made with German stainless, or in the case of some limited runs, with one of the new super stainless steels or Damascus. For this limited production run, we asked Boker to use the high carbon tool steel (non-stainless) which they are well known for. They are one of just a few companies that has the ability to work with non-stainless high carbon steel these days. We have had lots of requests for the old high carbon steel and are happy to have Boker make knives of this quality for us in Germany.

While these lockbacks are marked Boker® and not A. G. Russell™, this particular model in this handle material is being made exclusively for us. When the 100 are gone, no more with the green jigged bone will be made. The C-75 high carbon steel is hardened to 56-58 Rc., and will hold a razor edge, just like your grandpa's pocketknife did. The 3-1⁄8" clip point blade is satin finished and has the "Tree Brand Classic" frosted etch. The frame and shield are nickel silver. Measures 4-1⁄8" closed and weighs 5.7 oz. Made in Germany.

Remember that this is not stainless. You will need to be sure to clean and dry. If you would like added protection, our RustFree™ (RF125) will help protect the blade once it is clean and dry.

Böker Knives

From their beginnings in Remscheid, Germany more than 100 years ago, Böker "Treebrand" has survived countless hardships and has become the leading pocket knife maker in Europe. The chestnut tree that once grew near Böker's German factory represented an ideal symbol, and thus the "Treebrand" label was born. Today, the Böker "Treebrand" label represents a continued drive for higher quality and craftsmanship. Böker manufactures high quality pocket and hunting knives for sportsmen and collectors.
