An A. G. Russellâ„¢ Exclusive - Limited to 50 Pieces

In 2015, Browning® introduced a new pattern of High End folder which they simply call a Liner Lock. They originally offered this knife only in three different handle materials; one that has a full Damascus handle, then one with Mother-of-Pearl and one with stabilized Mammoth Tooth. At the S.H.O.T. Show in January 2017, they offered us an exclusive with beautiful Spalted Beech that has been dyed a deep red/orange and thoroughly stabilized.

The stainless Damascus bolsters are anodized a deep gray which highlights the detail of the Damascus pattern, which is exposed when the material is etched. Today, Damascus steel comes in many patterns and types. It is created by stacking multiple layers of steel, forging them together, folding when heated to the correct temperature and forging together again. This process is repeated until the desired number of layers is accomplished.

The 3-1⁄8" drop point blade in this folder is seventy-one layer Ladder Pattern Stainless Damascus with a core of 8Cr. The distinctive Browning Buck Mark has been laser cut through the blade as the mark, a very effective way of adding a mark to a highly patterned blade.

A pearl inlay in the single, but reversible, thumbstud adds a touch of elegance. The handle scales are highly figured Spalted Beech. Each handle will be unique. Locks with a liner-style lock and includes a reversibile tip down pocket clip for right or left handed carry. Simply remove the screw and move the thumbstud to the other side of the blade for left handed carry. Measures 4-1⁄8" closed. Weighs 3.8 oz. The knife is made in Japan. The handle scales are installed in the U.S.A.
