A 250 Piece Limited Edition

While there are knives from different U.S. manufacturers or importers that appeal to collectors and become much sought after, there are only a few brands that have a collector's club following. Buck® Knives is one of those brands. The Buck® Collectors Club was started by Vern Taylor in 1988 and is currently over 1,500 members strong. At the Blade Show each year there is always a large display of these Buck collections.

While Buck knives were going into collections long before the Buck Legacy series was conceived, this series has contributed strongly to the idea of collecting Buck knives. At the beginning of each year eight to ten different knives are introduced as a part of this series. All are limited to a very specific quantity, typically 100 or 250. The knives are usually a variation of an inline model or a model that has been discontinued. It can be either a folder or fixed blade. For this Buck Legacy Knife the Custom Shop chose to create a variation of one of Buck's most popular fixed blade hunting knives, the 119. The narrow tang handle is made up of three rounds of Elk antler separated by thin Micarta spacers. The single guard and butt cap are brass.

The 4-1/2" Bowie style blade is 420HC stainless at 58-60Rc. with a very fine satin finish. Measures 8-7/8" overall. Weighs 5.5 oz. A brown leather snapped belt sheath is included. Handmade in Buck's U.S.A. factory. Ships with a certificate of authenticity. Suggested retail $350.00.

Buck Knives

Buck Knives has been around for a very long time. In fact, Buck Knives was just switching from handmade knives out of a Southern California Garage to factory made knives about the same time we began the A.G. Russell ™ Knife mail order business. Over the past half century buck has become one of the largest and most important knife companies in the world. They are so well known, in some parts of the country pocketknives are referred to as “Buck Knives.”
