The biwa is a slim, graceful Japanese short-necked lute, used to accompany other instruments in an ensemble or as a solo instrument. Like the instrument it is named for, CRKT's BIWA™ is slender and a perfect addition to your hunting gear or as a stand-alone every-day knife. It was designed by custom knifemaker and metalworker Alan Folts, who really knows how to get the most into a small fixed blade design. This knife may be small and lightweight but it provides surprising comfort and control.

The 3-1⁄8" full-tang slim drop point blade is 8Cr13MoV stainless at 56-58 Rc. with brown G-10 handle scales with orange liners, and a light brown nylon lanyard. The fitted thermoplastic sheath secures the knife while offering a variety of carry styles and includes a black paracord neck strap. Measures 6-5⁄8" overall. Weighs a mere 1.6 oz. Made in China. Suggested retail is $49.99.
