For Ken Onion, there's no shortage of genius ideas, sketches, and one-offs that litter the shop. Years ago, Ken invented the first generation of the Field Strip concept. CRKT's first production of knives using Field Strip technology did not work so well, but with Ken's recrafted, reimagined, and simpler Field Strip Gen II, the functionality has been perfected. The Field Strip Gen II lets you quickly disassemble a knife on the spot, without tools, to clean it of grease and grime.
The Bona Fide™ OD Green is an everyday carry folder with a 3-5/8" spearpoint blade of 1.4116 steel at 55-57 Rc. and lightweight textured OD Green aluminum handles. The blade is black PVD coated and deploys smoothly on CRKT"s IKBS™ ball bearing pivot system, actuated with the blade flipper.
With a liner-style lock and a single position pocket clip for tip-up carry. Measures 4-5/8" closed. Weighs only 4.2 oz. Made in Taiwan. Suggested retail is $99.99.
