W. R. Case and Sons® is probably the most collected knife brand in America. This brand has been used and collected for over 100 years and, with the exception of a few forays into the modern tactical market, has always been made in the U.S.A. Because Case jigs and dyes all their own bone, we are constantly seeing bone on Case knives that can be found nowhere else. The smooth navy Giraffe bone range from beautiful sky to deep water hues. The stainless steel bolsters are embellished with XX. Has brass pins and liners. All blades are mirror polished Case Tru-Sharp® Surgical Stainless steel at 54-57 Rc.

The Russlock is distinctly Case. Very early, the Russlock had a liner-style locking mechanism and an early version of a flipper for convenient one-hand opening. The pattern was named for Case founder, J. Russell "Russ" Case. Has a 2-3/4" clip point blade. Measures 4-1/4" closed. Weighs 2.5 oz. Suggested Retail $182.50.

Case Knives

Finally, the W. R. Case Knife Company seems to be in good hands. The family that has guided the Zippo lighter company through so many successful years has begun to make a difference at their knife company. They have called back from retirement, skilled craftsmen who are teaching the current crop of cutlers. These new Case knives look more like those of the 1950's rather than those of the 1970's and 1980's.
