Order Details

The Safari is a small but competent knife designed by renowned English custom knifemaker Alan Wood. Alan has been a professional knifemaker since 1985 and is known for his handmade Bushcraft and Deer Stalking knives. He is also known for his collaboration with survival expert Ray Mears on the Woodlore knife.

The Safari has a 2-1⁄2" hollow-ground drop point blade of 12c27 Swedish stainless at 59 Rc. with a full tapered tang. It includes a sturdy pouch style leather sheath. The design, together with the materials used, makes this a very beautiful but highly resilient hunting kit. Ideal as a skinner for small deer and as a small belt knife for safari hunters. We have chosen three handle materials: black G-10, orange G-10 and stabilized curly birch. Measures 6-1⁄4" overall. G-10s weighs about 2.7 oz. Stabilized curly birch weighs 2.1 oz. Made in Sweden. Suggested retail is $125.00 for G-10 and $160.00 for birch.
