A.G.'s Favorite EDC Since 1993
You have never seen a knife made with such simplicity and strength. The handle is one solid piece of black Zytel® shaped to guard your forefinger from slipping onto the blade and to keep the sharp corner at the back of the blade from wearing through your pocket. Not at all large, it measures just under 4" closed. The oval hole enables you to easily flip it open with one hand. Engineered to give you the fastest and surest opening knife you can buy. Available in VG-10 at 60-61 Rc. or 8A at 57-59 Rc. 3-1⁄8" blades are hollow ground and available in a traditional Bowie style clip blade. Weighs 1.5 oz. Assembled in Japan.

A.G. Russell Knives
From the age of nine I made homemade knives until I was about twenty-four when I began to make handmade knives, crude but no longer made at home. A few years later, I had met and learned from makers like R.W. Loveless and R. L. Dozier. I made knives until the mid 1970s. I don’t make handmade knives anymore, as my hands aren’t what they used to be. However, I do have very talented makers in the United States and Japan who make knives that I am proud to put my name on. I design pocketknives, one hand knives, lockbacks, and fixed blade knives and have them made to our standards. ~A.G. Russell III
A.G. Russell has been in the knives and whetstones business for over 50 years. A.G. Russell knives are well known for their quality. A.G. Russell knives tend to be more traditional in style and look, with modern advances in material and design to create excellent knives.
The A.G. Russell K93
Pros: thin, strong, good-looking, good steel, good materials, great design. It's lasted 20+ years of semi-hard use.
Cons: I never had a problem closing my K93 but some of my dumb friends could never close it after borrowing it. I finally fixed that by not loaning it out. really, what do you expect from someone that doesn't have their own knife anyway.
Changes:
Even though mine has lasted forever, I never really liked the look of the tiny phillips screw that attaches the unlock button. Maybe a rivet or torx screw would look better. Of course a rivet would be horrible to service.
