An A. G. Russellâ„¢ Exclusive

For several years, Santa Fe Stoneworks has created unique knives exclusively for A. G. Russell™ and Russell's for Men™ customers.  Brands they have used to create these unique knives included A.G. Russell, Camillus Cutlery, Kershaw and Spyderco, as well as knives that been made specifically for them and branded Santa Fe Stoneworks.  While visiting their booth at the 2017 S.H.O.T. show in January, we were intrigued with a Kershaw Leek with Composite Blade and Mammoth Ivory handle scales.  We scooped it up for another A.G. Russell Exclusive.

The mark (obverse) side of the stainless handle is covered with Mammoth Tusk which has been cut across the grain of the tusk, dyed, and had all of the cracks filled with black resin, stabilizing what would otherwise be an unusable, brittle and cracked piece of material. The reverse side supports the frame lock and a clip which is adjustable for tip up or tip down carry. The top half of the 3" modified Wharncliffe blade is Sandvik 13C26 fused to a cutting edge of CPM-D2 at 58-60 Rc.  A thin line of copper separates the two different steels. Measures 4" closed and weighs 3.3 oz.  Made and embellished in the U.S.A.
