The Kershaw Natrix is based on brother brand Zero Tolerance's 0770, which itself was inspired by the award-winning ZT 0777.

This one features a drop-point blade that offers solid performance with an upgraded D2 blade steel. This high-carbon tool steel is highly wear resistant, tough, and offers excellent edge retention. The stonewashed finish on the blade goes perfectly with its intriguing copper handles. Since copper is denser than stainless steel, this smaller knife has some heft. And a lot of style, too. You'll especially like the look once the handles have earned some patina.

Accessed with the built-in flipper, Kershaw's KVT ball-bearing opening makes it easy to open the knife one-handed. An oversized pivot provides an attention-grabbing detail on the front of the knife, while Kershaw's patented Sub-Frame Lock secures the blade and provides a dramatic, contrasting line on the back. A decorative backspacer adds another embellishment. A custom-designed deep-carry pocketclip echoes the lines of a special recess machined into the handle to complete this good-looking knife.

With its smaller size and eye-catching copper handles, the Copper Natrix makes a perfect EDC.

The 2-3/4" drop point blade has a hardness of 58-60 Rc. The closed length measures 3-5/8". Weighs 3.4 oz. Made in China. Suggested Retail $89.99.

Kershaw Knives

Kershaw Knives was founded in 1974 in Portland, Oregon when knife salesman Pete Kershaw started a cutlery company that would make knives from his designs. Japanese based KAI Cutlery manufactured those designs. In 1978, KAI Cutlery purchased Kershaw Knives and the company, renamed KAI USA Ltd., continues today with three product lines; including the original Kershaw Knives, Zero Tolerance Knives, and Shun Cutlery which primarily markets kitchen cutlery.

Over the years, Kershaw Knives has worked with several custom knifemakers. Cutlery Hall of Famer Ken Onion, a custom knife maker and inventor of the “SpeedSafe” assisted opening mechanism, is the premier knife designer for Kershaw Knives. Kershaw has also collaborated with custom knifemakers Grant and Gavin Hawk, Frank Centofante, and Ernest Emerson. Kershaw has released models that were developed in collaboration with National Geographic, Jeep, Orange County Choppers, the American Professional Rodeo Association, and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

Kershaw manufactures excellent knives and has built a very strong customer fan base due to their innovative designs and their quality control.
