Through a combination of advanced production technologies and an exhaustive study of ergonomics, style, shapes and materials, they have created the Rain Series of kitchen knives, which they say outperform the world's leading brands.

Rain Series Kitchen Knives
Winner of Blade® Magazine’s Kitchen Knife of the Year® Award 2013
Chef Works, in collaboration with Ken Onion, have designed a brand new, very unique series of kitchen knives. Through a combination of advanced production technologies and an exhaustive study of ergonomics, style, shapes, and materials, they have created the Rain Series of kitchen knives, which they say outperform the world's leading brands.
Constructed of high-performance stainless steel, the uniquely shaped blades have gone through a proprietary process to create a pattern of water droplets on the surface. This process was specifically designed to reduce both surface tension and drag across the entire blade by creating multiple air pockets. These air pockets significantly reduce the amount of surface area in contact with the food being cut. The result is a blade that slices effortlessly with an almost non-stick surface.
The handles are highly polished G-10 Garolite, an incredibly strong military-grade inert material that is highly impervious to both heat and moisture. Every elegant curve in the handle has not only been designed to fit the human hand, but also distinctively shaped in order to enhance the specific performance task of each knife.
Ken's signature drop handle and control bump lets you use the knife smoothly no matter how tall you are or which hand you cut with. The generous curve to the belly of the blade means that both the classic forward slicing motion, as well as a rocking motion cut, can be used effectively.
