I have always loved silver, sterling silver. When I owned the Hen & Rooster Firm, we made many knives with sterling silver (and a few with 14k gold). There seemed to be a large number of people who felt like I did because we sold an awful lot of Sterling knives. In 1995 while visiting with the president of Swiss Army Brand knives at the SHOT Show, I discovered that they had added several beautiful and different handle designs of sterling silver to their "Classic" model Swiss Army pocketknife, which has a pen blade, nail file, and very useful scissors. The Classic has always been one of the most popular models because at only 2-1/4" long when closed, it fits so well into the pockets of a business suit and will not cause the pocket to sag or bulge. Now, at a fraction of the cost of a Hen & Rooster silver knife, you can carry in your own pocket, (or provide for some treasured friend) a knife with solid Sterling Silver handles!

Small Blade, Scissors, Nail File with Screwdriver Tip, and Key Ring. 2-1/4" closed.

Swiss Army (Victorinox)

Carl Elsener invented the Swiss Army Knife in 1891. It is over 100 years old. Over 34,000 pocket tools with the distinctive Swiss cross leave the factory in central Switzerland each day. Ninety percent are for export to over 100 different countries and serve as ambassadors for Switzerland. When your child is just reaching the maturity required to use sharp objects, Swiss Army knives make excellent starter knives.
