We are always interested in finding new knifemakers and introducing them to our customers. At the Little Rock Custom Knife Show in August 2021, we visited with Rocky Anderson and arranged for him to make 25 to 30 of his model M4. At that point neither of us knew what the handle material would be. Rocky aquired enough of this stabilized spalted maple to make 30 knives in this first batch.

He started his knifemaking career a little over ten years ago when a co-worker and friend brought one of his hand-made bird and trout knives to work. Rocky says he was instantly hooked on the idea of creating one of his own. His knife making career has taken a back seat a couple of times over the years. He has been called to active duty by the National Guard three times as well as gotten married and started a family. In 2020, he began to get more serious about becoming a full-time knife maker so he could leave the military and spend more time with his family.

This small utility/hunter has a 3-1/4" slim drop point blade of CPM-154 stainless at 60-61 Rc. It has a full tang with stabilized spalted maple scales. Measures 7-1/8" overall. Weighs 2.6 oz. Beautiful dark brown leather sheath. Handmade in Rocky's shop in Oklahoma.
