An A.G. Russell Exclusive
This family-owned company has been embellishing knives produced by other companies for years. Over the years Santa Fe Stoneworks has created handle scales of semi-precious stones, pearl, mammoth ivory, dinosaur bone, and wood marquetry. This "woven" pattern is a recent idea. We selected this version a the Blade Show in early June and are introducing it to Knife Collectors Club members first.
As the name implies, a button lock folder is simply a folder with a locking mechanism that utilizes a button, typically near the pivot, to release the blade lock. This Button Lock has an open frame titanium handle with inlays on both sides of bands of Mother-of-Pearl and Black Pearl "woven" in a diagonal basket weave pattern "exposing" beautiful pieces of Abalone shell through the openings. The 3-1⁄4" drop point blade is VG-10 at 59-61 Rc. with a single reversible thumbstud. The titanium pocket clip is reversible for right or left hand, tip-up carry. Measures 3-1⁄2" closed. Weighs 2.1 oz. The knife is made in China. The handle scales are added in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
