A 2019 SHOT Show Limited Edition

This barlow with red jigged bone is one of the knives Case offered as a SHOT Show special in January 2019. We have now received a supply of these knives and have them on our shelves. This knife was offered only to those dealers who placed an order at the show in January. Because the quantity is so limited, they are very desirable as collector pieces.

The barlow is an easily recognized pattern. It is a design that is not less than 150 years old and is typically a one or two blade jack knife with longer than normal bolsters. This version has red jigged bone handle scales with a U.S.A. flag and Case Long Tail C logo etched into the nickel silver bolsters, similar to what the shield looked like in the 2018 Shot Show Doctor's Knife. The blades are a 3-1⁄4" clip point and a 2-1⁄8" pen blade of mirror polished Tru-Sharp Surgical Stainless at 55-57 Rc. The liners and pins are brass. Measures 3-3⁄8" closed. Weighs 2.9 oz. Made in the U.S.A.

Case Knives

Finally, the W. R. Case Knife Company seems to be in good hands. The family that has guided the Zippo lighter company through so many successful years has begun to make a difference at their knife company. They have called back from retirement, skilled craftsmen who are teaching the current crop of cutlers. These new Case knives look more like those of the 1950's rather than those of the 1970's and 1980's.
