2020 Shot Show Special

One of the models Case created as a 2020 S.H.O.T. Show Special is this CopperLock. It has natural bone scales that have been sculpted and dyed with the stars and stripes of the American flag bursting out of the background. These knives are offered only to those dealers who place an order at the S.H.O.T. Show in January each year. Because the quantity is so limited, they are very desirable as collector pieces. They have certainly been popular with members of the Knife Collectors Club™ and A. G. Russell™ customers.

When you consider how long Case has been in business, the CopperLock is a fairly new pattern. Introduced in 1997, it combines elements from two classic Case knife patterns, the Trapper and the Copperhead, for an entirely new lockback knife. The 3-1⁄4" clip point blade is Case's Tru-Sharp™ surgical steel at 55-57 Rc. The bolsters are nickel silver and liners are brass. Lockback. Measures 4-1⁄4" closed. Weighs 2.4 oz. Made in the U.S.A.

Case Knives

Finally, the W. R. Case Knife Company seems to be in good hands. The family that has guided the Zippo lighter company through so many successful years has begun to make a difference at their knife company. They have called back from retirement, skilled craftsmen who are teaching the current crop of cutlers. These new Case knives look more like those of the 1950's rather than those of the 1970's and 1980's.
