2020 S.H.O.T. Show Special

One of the knives Case offered at the 2020 S.H.O.T. Show as a special is this mini trapper with Peach Seed Jigged Bone scales dyed a deep walnut brown color. The mini trapper pattern, like other traditional trapper patterns, is defined by two blades from the same end of the handle: a clip and a spey. The Trapper has been one of the two most popular pocketknife patterns for generations. With Case's ability to dye and jig their own, they can offer some truly beautiful bone. Because the quantity of their S.H.O.T. Show specials is so limited, they are very desirable as collector pieces.

This Mini Trapper has a 2-3/4" clip point and a 2-3/4" spey blade, both of Case's own mirror polished Tru-Sharp surgical stainless at 54-57 Rc. The nickel silver bolsters and inlay, along with the brass liners, really enhance the walnut color of the bone. Slip joint. Measures 3-1/2" closed. Weighs 2.6 oz. Made in the U.S.A.

Case Knives

Finally, the W. R. Case Knife Company seems to be in good hands. The family that has guided the Zippo lighter company through so many successful years has begun to make a difference at their knife company. They have called back from retirement, skilled craftsmen who are teaching the current crop of cutlers. These new Case knives look more like those of the 1950's rather than those of the 1970's and 1980's.
