Since 1998, W.R. Case & Sons has worked with legendary knifemaker Tony Bose to create factory made knives that closely duplicate the custom knives he makes in his workshop. One of the knives Case offered as a 2020 S.H.O.T. Show special is this Tony Bose Sway Back folder with Black Canvas Laminate handle scales. The Sway Back was inspired by the English Jack Knives of the 19th century, just the type of folders Tony admires. Because the quantities produced of the the S.H.O.T. Show specials are so limited, they are very desirable as collector pieces.

The Wharncliffe is a great cutting blade with a fine point for increased control for detail work. The 2-1⁄4" Wharncliffe blade is made of Case's own mirror polished Tru-Sharp surgical stainless at 55-57 Rc. The nickel silver bolsters and badge shield, along with the brass liners, really enhance the black handle scales. Slip joint. Measures 3-1⁄4" closed. Weighs 1.5 oz. Made in the U.S.A.

Case Knives

Finally, the W. R. Case Knife Company seems to be in good hands. The family that has guided the Zippo lighter company through so many successful years has begun to make a difference at their knife company. They have called back from retirement, skilled craftsmen who are teaching the current crop of cutlers. These new Case knives look more like those of the 1950's rather than those of the 1970's and 1980's.
