Knives made with Ceramic blades for sale. High end ceramic is an extremely hard, lightweight material. The edge on a ceramic knife will last much longer than a steel blade (3-4 times longer). Many favor ceramic blades for these two reasons. There are two big drawbacks to ceramic as a blade material however. It is rather brittle and chips relatively easily, and it cannot be sharpened by an average user.
