Over the past 10 years CRKT has produced Kit Carson's popular M16® line in many variations. The Zytel version has been the most popular of all. These knives have been built for function and are an exceptional value.
Their new M16 ZLEK line uses the very successful InterFrame construction, with textured Zytel scales over a stainless steel liner and solid Zytel back spacers. For professional use, they have added a seat belt cutter to the Carson Flipper, and a tungsten carbide window breaker at the butt. Automobile side windows shatter with one quick whack from the butt of the knife.
All components receive a tough tactical black coating. The Flipper can be used for fast one-hand opening, and creates a blade guard when open. AUS 8 stainless steel for the blade, which has Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point™ Serrated edges to easily cut rope, cord, canvas, and vegetation. Fitted with CRKT's exclusive AutoLAWKS™ safety, which automatically converts them into virtual fixed blades when the blade is opened and locked. The spear shaped blade measures 3-3/8" with at hardness of 58-59 Rc. Overall length of 8-1/4" and weighs 3.7 oz. Made in Taiwan. Suggested Retail $99.99.
