Maserin Nakiri
Item #: MAS-2030BFC
$125.00
The Nakiri is a Japanese style blade developed for cutting vegetables. The thin blade and tipless shape helps to make smooth, clean cuts. Similar to the Santoku style, this shape has a very limited "rocking" motion for cutting. The wider blade width, from the blade edge to spine, provides more clearance for your hand when slicing or dicing. It also provides a wider surface for scooping up those thin slices. Extremely lightweight, the Nakiri blade should not be used for cutting bones or hard vegetables. The 6-1⁄4" blade of 420 stainless at about 56 Rc. is 1-15⁄16" wide. The Carbon Fiber handle scales are attached to a full tang and help to reduce the weight. Measures 11-1⁄4" overall. Weighs only 5.8 oz. Made in Maniago, Italy.

Maserin Knives
Maserin was established in 1960. The owners, members of the family who founded it, have built this company on the tradition of the artisan blacksmiths who were the reason Maniago became known as the "city of the knives". Maserin ®, and Maniago in general, has modernized their knife making processes using laser, CNC, and other current technology, while maintaining high quality and building on traditional models, many of which they continue to produce. In Maniago, they are responding to the challenge of market globalization by finding ways to keep new generations interested. They continue to exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit, new marketing strategies, and a constant improvement of production standards.
