Bear and Son® Cutlery is a family owned company that formed just over 30 years ago. The Barlow style is a traditional pattern that can be traced back to the English pocketknives from the 17th Century. It is one of the oldest models around and is easily recognized by the extra long bolster and the blade or blades that pivot from the bolster end of the knife handle.
This version from Bear and Son has Smooth White Bone handle scales. The smooth white bone blends beautifully with the stainless liners and nickel silver pins and bolsters. The 3-1⁄8" modified sheepsfoot blade is mirror polished 440A stainless at 57-59 Rc. It is a slip joint. Measures 4" closed. Weighs 2.9 oz. Made in the U.S.A.

Bear and Son
Doing everything in house allows Bear to control the materials, workmanship and the delivery schedule, which is a real plus. These new traditional folders show significant improvement from the Bear Cutlery knives we last offered. Perhaps Wally Gardiner, formerly with Schrade and Canal Street Cutlery, has contributed to that.
Bear is one of the few companies that has the ability to work with non-stainless high-carbon steel these days.
