Taiwan now has a long history of knife making, ever since WWII when it received a lot of iron and steel during heavy bombing raids. This unlikely start into knife making has turned into an interesting culture. Taiwan has grown in reputation, and you see some higher end knives come out of Taiwan. Spyderco has a number of really high end folders made there. For ourselves, A.G. Russell Knives, we had the remake of the A.G. Russell Acies made in Taiwan.
