"You get what you pay for" - few sayings can be more apt when describing knives made in China. If you pay $5 for a knife, you're going to get a $5 knife. The Chinese cutlery industry is much more than that however, they are capable of well-made quality knives. If you demand, and pay for, quality, you can get quality. Just take a look at any Apple electronic product, chances are it was made in China. Apple is well known for being a premium brand. Just as with any country, you pay for what you get. We make many of our own designs in China, because they are willing to do things our way, and listen to us when we want a knife manufactured in a particular manner. With our friends in China we have many some truly well-made, beautiful knives.
