FOX Knives USA is an extension of FOX Cutlery of Maniago, Italy which was founded in 1977 by Oreste Frati. Still family owned, Oreste, his wife Valnea and son Gabriele are still in control of the business. Fox Cutlery has always been known as a manufacturer of quality cutlery products for civilian, military, law enforcement, rescue, and other special forces. In 2007, Mike Vellekamp approached them to manufacture one of his designs. That led to an inquiry about distribution of FOX knives in the U.S.A. Eventually FOX USA was developed as a separate brand with knives designed by Mike. They are also a distributor for the knives made in Italy.
These knives are representative of knives from FOX USA. All are made in the FOX USA factory in Puyallup, Washington.
