A. G. Russell White Synthetic Handle Kitchen Knives

Forged in Maniago, Italy
With the exception of the 7" Utility Knife, these are the same produced-in-Italy kitchen knives we introduced in 2004. The difference is the handle material and its color. These are traditional European style forged kitchen knives that give you heft, style and quality. The blades are a Molybdenum-Vanadium high-carbon stainless at 56-58 Rc., the perfect combination for great edge holding. But the secret of a great cutting ability is not just in the steel and the heat treat, but also in the way the blades are ground. These are ground VERY thin. They are NOT the knives you'd use for chopping bones or frozen food, but are designed to slice and dice with ease all day long.
These knives, or any other sharp edged knife, should never be put in a dishwasher. Water and detergent driven at high speed will dull your blades and the sharp edges will damage your racks and baskets. We recommend that you never put a sharp knife in a dishwasher OR let them sit in a sink full of water. Hand wash and dry immediately after use.
With a great blade steel and great cutting ability, our knives are priced less than a comparable Henckels knife.

A.G. Russell Knives
From the age of nine I made homemade knives until I was about twenty-four when I began to make handmade knives, crude but no longer made at home. A few years later, I had met and learned from makers like R.W. Loveless and R. L. Dozier. I made knives until the mid 1970s. I don’t make handmade knives anymore, as my hands aren’t what they used to be. However, I do have very talented makers in the United States and Japan who make knives that I am proud to put my name on. I design pocketknives, one hand knives, lockbacks, and fixed blade knives and have them made to our standards. ~A.G. Russell III
