A. G. Russell Gent's Lockback with Mammoth Ivory Interior
Item #: AGLB-323MI
$165.00
Early in 2025, we revived A.G.'s small Gent's Lockback which was originally made for us in Japan. We were presented with the opportunity to have it made in Maniago, Italy. It took a while to get the same quality but the final result is impeccable. The first versions were made with A.G.'s Coral Rucarta, Smoth White Bone and Black Lip Pearl handle scales.
At the time we had those knives made, we also had some made without handle scales for the knives we are offering for the first time here. We are adding the Mammoth Tusk Interior scales in our shop here in Rogers, Arkansas.
The 2-1⁄8" mirror polished blade is Elmax stainless at 58-60 Rc. The bolsters, liners and pins are nickel silver. Measures 2-3⁄4" closed. Each handle material weighs a little different, but all are close to 1.7 oz. Made in Maniago, Italy.

A.G. Russell Knives
From the age of nine I made homemade knives until I was about twenty-four when I began to make handmade knives, crude but no longer made at home. A few years later, I had met and learned from makers like R.W. Loveless and R. L. Dozier. I made knives until the mid 1970s. I don’t make handmade knives anymore, as my hands aren’t what they used to be. However, I do have very talented makers in the United States and Japan who make knives that I am proud to put my name on. I design pocketknives, one hand knives, lockbacks, and fixed blade knives and have them made to our standards. ~A.G. Russell III
A.G. Russell has been in the knives and whetstones business for over 50 years. A.G. Russell knives are well known for their quality. A.G. Russell knives tend to be more traditional in style and look, with modern advances in material and design to create excellent knives.
