A.G. Russell Hunter Scalpel
Item #: RU-T914-OR
$29.95
We have re-designed the Hunter Scalpel, making it a miniature of the full sized Deer Hunter, which has a 4" blade. The same Thumbolt® sheath design patented by Blackie Collins and assigned to A. G. Russell™ Knives is used by both these knives as well as the A. G. Russell™ Bird & Trout. The 2-1/4" blade and overall length of 4-3/4" makes this a knife that will fit just right in the pants pocket, clipped to your shirt collar, or worn on the lanyard around your neck. When the button is pushed the sheath pops right off and the knife is ready for use. This sheath is molded of very tough glass filled thermoplastic, similar to Zytel®. These are the SAFEST sheaths in the world. There is no way the knife can cut through the sheath and injure the owner. The blades are ground thin and come sharp, ready for use. The blade is AUS-10 at 59-60 Rc. Made in Taiwan.

A.G. Russell Knives
From the age of nine I made homemade knives until I was about twenty-four when I began to make handmade knives, crude but no longer made at home. A few years later, I had met and learned from makers like R.W. Loveless and R. L. Dozier. I made knives until the mid 1970s. I don’t make handmade knives anymore, as my hands aren’t what they used to be. However, I do have very talented makers in the United States and Japan who make knives that I am proud to put my name on. I design pocketknives, one hand knives, lockbacks, and fixed blade knives and have them made to our standards. ~A.G. Russell III
A.G. Russell has been in the knives and whetstones business for over 50 years. A.G. Russell knives are well known for their quality. A.G. Russell knives tend to be more traditional in style and look, with modern advances in material and design to create excellent knives.
I love everything about the A.G. Russell Hunter Scalpel. My brother is an avid A.G. Russell supporter and bought me my first A.G. Russell knife (the Hunter Scalpel) 5 years ago and its still on my keys everyday. I cant say enough great things about this knife and how it has made me feel so secure when I'm out and about alone. I get asked about it everywhere I go and sometimes feel like a AGR rep from how much I talk about this wonderful knife. My favorite part about this knife is not just the convenient size, but the way my keys weight aids in unsheathing it when I feel threatened. I feel strongly that this knife should be a part of every woman's key chain. Thank you A.G. Russell for making me feel safe when adventuring outside of my home! Changes: Not a thing, its absolutely perfect. Its high quality material, small size, and convenient unsheathing operation make for the perfect knife. Absolute-Genius-Product. Used my new Hunters Scalpel to help skin some squirrels, great knife for the job. Love the sheath. Should be useful for any delicate work. Rating: 8/10 Ike R. Sacramento, CA
