Böker Kalashnikov Bayonet Damascus
Item #: BO-KAL48DAM
$605.95
The Böker Kalashnikov Bayonet blade uses a unique Damascus steel. It is made of steel from the 6Ch3 and 6Ch4 bayonets according to the GRAU index of the former Soviet Army. General Kalashnikov's signature is formed into the steel. The 80 layer stainless Damascus was made by Chad Nichols and is hand forged in his Virus pattern. The pattern is unusually intricate, a result of a very controlled forging process. The blade is opened with the help of the thumb pin and locked by a sturdy liner style lock. The 3-7⁄8" blade is a clip point with a deep sweeping curved clip.
The handle sides are CNC machined from a block of 6061-T6 aluminum and then anodized black with inlays of stabilized domestic hornbeam wood. The color has been precisely matched to the Russian Amber Shellac color of the original stocks of the famous assault rifle. The inlays are CNC milled and inserted by hand. All screws and the tip-up pocket clip are also anodized black. Measures 5" closed. Weighs 5.6 oz. Handmade in Solingen, Germany. Ships with a floating display and certificate of authenticity. Individually serial numbered. Suggested retail $712.00.
