Buck 843 Sprint Ops Green Canvas Micarta
Item #: BU843GRS
$159.95
Hoyt Buck's first knife, made from a worn out file blade in 1902 was a fixed blade. The U.S. Government requested blade donations for the military after the attack on Pearl Harbor. It was then, that in the basement of a church in 1942, that Hoyt Buck began making knives by hand.
Utilizing ball bearing technology, the Buck Sprint's are designed for smooth and efficient opening with a reduction in friction for rapid blade deployment. The reverse tanto blade shape gives the knife piercing strength while also giving you the smooth cutting surface of a drop point. The blade is S30V steel tempered with Buck's famous BOS heat-treat; the blade has fantastic edge retention. The blade is black Cerakote® coated to provide further corrosion resistance and durability. The handle is a strong and durable green canvas micarta. A sturdy liner lock secures the blades while in use. This knife has a convenient deep pocket carry clip for easy carry.
The 3-1/8" reverse tanto style blade has a hardness at 59-61 Rc. Measures 4-7/8" closed. Made in the USA.

Buck Knives
Buck Knives has been around for a very long time. In fact, Buck Knives was just switching from handmade knives out of a Southern California Garage to factory made knives about the same time we began the A.G. Russell ™ Knife mail order business. Over the past half century buck has become one of the largest and most important knife companies in the world. They are so well known, in some parts of the country pocketknives are referred to as “Buck Knives.”
