When you think of Ken Onion Designed knives, you typically think of assisted opening folders with clean lines and graceful curves, or maybe you think of uniquely shaped kitchen knives designed for heavy use. What you don't think of is a machete. But, if you look closely at his Chanceinhell Machete, you can see some of the same design elements you find in other Ken Onion knives. For example, you will find elements of Ken's signature dropped handle and control bump which allows you to use the knife for extended periods of time no matter how tall you are or which hand you cut with.
The ChanceInHell is perfect for removing weeds or clearing your backwoods campsite. The 12" machete blade is powder coated 65Mn carbon steel at 56-58 Rc. The handle is nylon, overmolded with a faux pigskin tacky texture for aid in grip. Ships with a black nylon sheath with a hard insert and plenty of paracord to wrap around your wrist when using the knife, or to use in emergency situations. Measures 17-3/4" overall and weighs 1 lb. 1.5 oz. Made in China. Suggested retail is $69.99.
