CRKT Folts Keramin Hawkbill Minimalist
Item #: CL-2389
$27.95
Alan Folts is a knifemaker and metalworker in Greenville, N.C. who makes a remarkable range of custom objects, including titanium chopsticks. His Minimalist™ neck knife proved to be so popular that it drew the attention of Columbia River Knife & Tool. In 2009 CRKT came out with their production version. CRKT has added several blade styles to the Minimalist series, the Keramin is the 5th style added and the newest for 2014.
True to the series the Keramin is a very small and lightweight knife. The unusual geometry of the blade includes a thick, strong spine that extends nearly to the tip for extra strength. The full-tang, 2-1/4" modified Hawkbill blade has a straight razor-sharp front edge. Three finger choils, hand-contoured green/black Micarta® scales, and a braided fob provide surprising comfort and control. The steel is 5Cr15MoV at 55-57 Rc. Includes a custom-fitted Zytel® sheath and a paracord lanyard for inverted carry as a neck knife.
Measures 4-7/8" overall and weighs 1.8 oz. Suggested retail $39.99. Made in China.
