This is a very interesting and useful folder that reminds me of the steel trout knives with the ring at the butt end. Like those knives, there is a ring at the handle butt that provides a method of securely holding onto the knife. CRKT's IBI™ folder is much more practical as an every-day-carry knife, and it is a lot more elegant.

The blade is easily opened one-handed using the flipper. The IKBS ball bearing pivot gives you a fast and smooth opening action. An extension of the ring at the butt into the handle serves as a backspacer. The copper colored ring not only adds to the attractiveness of the knife, but also adds more control. The ring measures just under 1" in diameter, accommodating larger sized hands.

The 2-3⁄4" reverse tanto blade is D2 steel at 60-61 Rc. with a black stonewashed finish. The handle sides are black G-10 with a fine matte finish. Liner-Style lock. The reversible clip is positioned for tip-up, right or left-hand carry and is also black. The blade flipper and reversible clip make this knife truly ambidextrous. Measures 4-3⁄4" closed. Weighs 2.8 oz. Suggested retail is $69.99. Made in China.
