Jim Hammond was the first knifemaker to work with CRKT. His designs are all about excellence, flair, and function. The P.S.D earned its name (Particle. Separation. Device.) for its ability to cut through just about anything, anywhere. The P.S.D. II brings that same capability only in a smaller, more portable package. Having shaved off over an inch in the total length, the smaller model carries the same aesthic of the original, modifying it with a new tan G-10 handle scale. The re-curve of the blade edge performs well when making deep cuts and slicing.
The surprisingly compact handle, with tan G10 scales, and stainless liners, accommodates a solid four-finger grip. Finished with an electric blue ring at the pivot and a black-coated pocket clip which can be positioned for right-handed tip-up or tip-down carry. The IKBS™ ball bearing pivot system makes for a smooth blade rotation and a liner-style lock keeps it solidly in place. The blade flipper helps to deploy the assisted open blade smooth and fast.
The 3" blade is AUS 10 stainless with a hardness of 58-60 Rc. Measures 4" closed. Weighs 3.6 oz. Suggested retail is $99.99. Made in Taiwan.
