Keith Murr Slim Drop Point Hunter
Item #: KEM-2024HEK
$425.00
This Slim Drop Point is very different from any Keith Murr knife we have sold before. Those we have sold have been made with D2 blade steel, a full tang, and handle scales of many different materials. Over the past several years, Keith has not produced enough knives to bring any to us. Two years ago, he exhibited at Sam and Bridgette Roddy's Natural State Knife Show here in Rogers. After that he became motivated to make knives again and has been bringing small quantities to us as he gets them finished. He is still not producing a lot.
He brought these hunters to us as we were in the middle of our Christmas rush and I am just now doing something with them. There were enough to devote the catalog space, but the quantity is very limited. When he produces fewer of a particular model or variation, we will be offering those through our weekly email.
The handles are Elk Antler with a buffalo horn butt cap on a short exposed tang. The 3-1⁄8" blade is O-1 high carbon steel at 58-59 Rc. with a parkarized surface for rust resistance. Measures approximately 7-5⁄8" overall. (Each is a little different because of the length of the antler tip.) Weighs about 2.8 oz. Handmade in Arkansas.

Kershaw Knives
Kershaw Knives was founded in 1974 in Portland, Oregon when knife salesman Pete Kershaw started a cutlery company that would make knives from his designs. Japanese based KAI Cutlery manufactured those designs. In 1978, KAI Cutlery purchased Kershaw Knives and the company, renamed KAI USA Ltd., continues today with three product lines; including the original Kershaw Knives, Zero Tolerance Knives, and Shun Cutlery which primarily markets kitchen cutlery.
Over the years, Kershaw Knives has worked with several custom knifemakers. Cutlery Hall of Famer Ken Onion, a custom knife maker and inventor of the “SpeedSafe” assisted opening mechanism, is the premier knife designer for Kershaw Knives. Kershaw has also collaborated with custom knifemakers Grant and Gavin Hawk, Frank Centofante, and Ernest Emerson. Kershaw has released models that were developed in collaboration with National Geographic, Jeep, Orange County Choppers, the American Professional Rodeo Association, and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
Kershaw manufactures excellent knives and has built a very strong customer fan base due to their innovative designs and their quality control.
