A New Wood Added to Choices from Randall
It is true that Randall Made Knives is best known for military style knives and for their unwavering support of our troops beginning during World War II. Bo Randall made his first knife in the late 1930s, and by World War II, Randall Knives were the best-known handmade knives in the world. That level of recognition has not diminished in the sixty some years since.
They are also well known for their hunting knives. Many hunters would not go to the woods without their Randall. The Model 25 with the Model 25 handle has been our most popular. We have offered it in several versions over the years, all of which you can find at www.agrussell.com/randall. All are made with leather washers and a brass hilt and butt cap. The center portion of the handle has included Stag, Ivorite, Desert Ironwood, black Micarta® and our own Maple Burl (sold out). This newest version has leather washers and Randall's new wood choice, Thuya wood.
The 5" drop point hunter blade is made from 1/4" thick O1 high carbon tool steel (not stainless). (We recommend RustFree™ to protect your blade from rust.) The handle is Leather and Thuya wood with a brass hilt and butt cap. Measures 9-5⁄8" overall. Weighs 10.3 oz. Handmade in Orlando, Fl.
No two Randall Made knives are exactly alike, for no jigs or patterns are used in their final construction. Large-scale commercial production with this kind of attention to detail is not feasible and that's why there is often a long wait.
(8-2024) Due to Randall's high volume of orders, if not on our shelves when you order, delivery of Randall knives ordered from A. G. Russell is currently taking 10-12 months. If ordered directly from Randall the wait is currently about 6 years.

Randall Made Knives
For over 75 years, Randall knives have been the best-known handmade knives in the world. No two Randall Made™ knives are exactly alike, for no jigs or patterns are used in their final construction. Large-scale commercial production with this kind of attention to detail is not feasible and that's why knives of this unique quality are not widely available.
Gary Randall, the present owner, took over from his father, W. D. "Bo" Randall, in the mid 1970's and the shop remains so busy that today it takes over five years to get a knife directly from them. We are one of the few authorized Randall dealers, and try to keep a stock of their knives. Because our orders with Randall are booked years in advance, if we don't have the knife that you want in stock, we can usually have it for you about 10 months, knives with stag will take a year or more. For anyone wanting to order directly from Randall the price will be lower but the wait will be extremely long.
