$125.00
This folder, provided to us in 2005 by Seki-Cut, a marketing alliance of several of the best small makers in Seki City, Japan at the time, was made by Hiro, one of the best.
It is a handsome liner-lock Gent's Folder with an anodized Titanium handle in colors ranging from green to blue depending on the way the light strikes it. There is a rainbow effect that is very different than that offered by American brands at the time. The color is much more subtle. The 2-7⁄8" drop point blade is VG-10 at 59-61 Rc. with a high mirror polish. The onlays are cocobolo. Measures 3-5⁄8" closed. Weighs 2.5 oz. Made in Seki Japan. We recently found a small quantity stashed away.

Japanese Made
Traditional style Japanese knives are made using Japanese carbon steel. Japanese carbon steel is derived from methods that were originally used to produce steel for samurai swords. Its exceptional hardness allows the user to hone an incredibly sharp edge. Traditional style Japanese knives differ from western style knives in that they typically have only one side sharpened, which allows the user to make precise, parchment thin cuts. This brand merges traditional designs and techniques with modern features, materials, and processes.
