Beginning with the formation of the OSS (Office of Strategic Services) following the end of World War II, daggers have come to symbolize the most elite of our military special operations units and intelligence agencies. With the Spartan-George V-14 Dagger, the goal was to create a custom combat knife that improved upon a classic profile with better materials and a more thoughtful design.

The 6-3/4" full-tang blade begins with a ¼" thick bar of CPM-S35VN stainless, which is precision hollow ground with four symmetrical bevels to a perfect point. Each blade is then vacuum heat- treated, double deep cryogenically treated and double tempered resulting in a hardness of 59-60 Rc. It is then black DLC coated. The end result is great edge retention and toughness that overcomes the durability problem that has plagued military combat daggers in the past. Both edges of the blade are sharpened.

In addition to an extremely high quality blade, the Spartan-George V-14 has an ergonomic and textured handle specifically designed for maximum comfort and a confident grip. This is where they opted to diverge from tradition, choosing an oval handle with flats on each side (instead of the traditional round handle) to assist in the positioning and use of the knife. We have chosen two variations of the V-14 – with either a black or green 3D contoured G-10 handle. Includes a black Kydex® sheath with a webbed belt loop which can be arranged for multiple carry positions. Measures 11-1/2" overall and weighs 9.3 oz. Made in the U.S.A.

Spartan Blades

In 2008, Mark Carey and Curtis Iovito started Spartan Blades in a pre-Civil War mule barn in the Sandhills of North Carolina. Both were Special Forces Soldiers with a combined military experience of 40+ years. Their knives are made in the United States with most of the work being preformed by veterans.
