C.Q.I., or Constant Quality Improvement, is a process used by Spyderco to update and refine longstanding knife designs. Sometimes the improvements are large and noticeable; sometimes they are just a small refinement. One of the latest to go through this process is the Dragonfly, creating the Dragonfly2. Spyderco has kept everything you would expect in the Dragonfly: the mid-sized 2-1/4" leaf-shaped blade with customary round hole, front finger choil ergonomic handle, and the expected Spyderco quality. Also staying the same is the blade to handle geometry and leveraging points.
Refinements include the addition of a left/right tip up wire clip, choil and spine jimping, patented Bi-Directional Texturing™ on the handle, and screw- together handle construction. The blade is VG-10 stainless steel at 60-62 Rc. with a plain edge. The handle is a Orange fiberglass reinforced nylon (FRN). Measures 3-1/4" closed and weighs 1.2 oz. Made in Japan.
