Item #: SPC123CF9SR
$300.00
The sixth installment in Spyderco's unique Sage™ Series, the Sage 6 showcases the Button-Release Compression Lock® pioneered by custom knifemaker Kevin Smock. A novel variation of the Sal Glesser-designed Compression Lock mechanism, it not only makes closing the knife simpler and easier but also establishes the Sage 6 one of Spyderco's most “fidget-friendly" models.
This elite Sprint Run expression of the design supercharges the model with a full-flat-ground blade crafted from CPM® S90V® particle metallurgy stainless steel and solid carbon fiber scales. The enhanced, vanadium-rich blade steel offers a superior blend of edge retention and corrosion resistance, while the peel-ply-textured scales balance stunning aesthetics and a non-slip texture. Like all Sage models, this limited-edition knife features a reversible deep-pocket wire clip for discreet tip-up carry on either side of the body.
A Sprint Run is a special production run of a knife not found in their regular product line. It may be a distinctive version of a current model or a discontinued model. Every Sprint Run is a unique, one time only event.
The 3" modified drop point blade has a plain edge is made from full-flat ground CPM-S90V stainless steel with a satin finish and a hardness of 59-61 Rc. The Carbon Fiber handle scales are home to nested, skeletonized stainless steel liners. The wire pocket clip is reversible for a tip-up left or right-hand carry. Closed length measures 4-1/8". Spyderco
In 1981, Spyderco ventured into the world of knife making by introducing their first folding knife, the C01 Worker. This knife was the first in the industry to feature a round hole in the blade design that allowed for fast, one-hand opening, now the company’s trademark, and the first to feature a pocket clip. The trademarked round hole is the most recognizable feature of a Spyderco knife and it facilitates the easy opening and closing of these knives with one hand while also offering convenient access and maximum control while opening as well as accommodating large, small or gloved hands.
Spyderco’s recognizable appearance is a result of designing ergonomically functional tools rather than applying lipstick and nylons to a pocketknife. Spyderco’s knives may look unusual, but they will never be called unusable or undependable. When you purchase a Spyderco knife, you are buying a high quality reliable cutting tool that was designed and manufactured for peak performance and ergonomic comfort.
