The Frontlock allows the user to operate the entire knife with one hand. It essentialy takes the concept of a lockback, but moves the release to the front of the knife - hence the knife Frontlock. This lock is best known for being on the K87 and the K93 One Hand Knife models. It was originally designed by Pat Crawford in 1979.
