Randy Lee's narrow tang fixed blade knives have been some of the most popular handmade knives we have offered. We have been selling Randy's knives since the late 1990s, mostly as Handmade Knives to Order in The Cutting Edge®. Since retiring from his regular job, Randy has been able to deliver more knives. In July 2010, he was profiled in The Cutting Edge®, where we featured five of his knives - four hunters and a sub-hilt fighter. They were so well received by the subscribers to that mailing, and the knives were delivered in such a timely manner, that we decided to offer his knives in the A. G. Russell™ Knives catalog.
Randy made his first knife many years ago in a high school shop class. In the 1970s he studied with local knifemakers and, in 1979, decided to buy serious knifemaking equipment. It was 1988, however, before he attended his first knife show. Randy is now a full time maker and attends about six shows a year. A serious hunter, Randy field-tests all of his designs. He wants them to work as great as they look. Not only does Randy produce a fine knife, but he also provides a quality handmade sheath with each knife. His sheaths, which are definitely a step above what is typical on knives of this price level, are handmade by his wife Sonja.

Randy Lee
Randy made his first knife in a high school shop class. He remained fascinated and years later, after studying with local makers, he decided to get serious and buy the proper equipment; this was 1979. It was 1988, however, before he attended his first knife show. Since then he attends about six shows a year. A serious hunter, Randy field tests all of his designs. He wants them to work as well as they look. He is fortunate to have a wife who can make and decorate such fine sheaths. His sheaths are definitely a step above what is typical on knives of this price level.
