The M48 Hawk is the ultimate tactical weapon. Lightweight so it can be carried all day, with a wide upswept blade for heavy duty chopping, slashing and cutting potential. The secondary edge on the back of the axe head is sharpened for cutting and hooking movements. Together the spike and axe blade make an efficient breaching tool.
The axe head is cast 2Cr13 stainless steel with a rockwell in the mid-40s Rc. It is securely attached to the nylon reinforced handle with three separate bolts. The cutting edge measures 3-3/4" . It includes a nylon snap button sheath. Weighs 1 lb. 11.0 oz. and measures 15-1/2" in total overall length. Made In China. Suggested retail is $60.00.
